Mongolia's e-visa covers tourism for the nationalities listed in the evisa.mn nationality dropdown: one entry, up to 30 days, with no extension possible. Many European, North American and Oceanian passports do not need it at all.

Apply at least 3 working days before travel: Mongolian embassies quote 48 to 72 hours and there is no paid express option. The last date for entering Mongolia is shown on the e-visa; agencies commonly report 150 days from issue, so check that your travel date falls inside it.
With a Bulgarian passport you can enter to Mongolia without a visa and stay up to 30 days. Check the passport and entry rules below before you fly.
The e-visa is issued by the Immigration Agency of Mongolia through evisa.mn. The application has four parts: document type and nationality (where you choose the category, K2 for tourism), personal information, purpose and duration, then data confirmation before card payment. The approved e-visa arrives by email as a PDF; at the border it is scanned with your passport and your fingerprints and photo are taken. Other e-visa categories exist for sports, cultural events and filming (K4, 30 days) and for transit (K6, 10 days). Only nationalities that appear in the portal's nationality list can apply; others are either visa-free or must use an embassy.

The 'Applying for' field on Part 1 sets the category. Choosing tourism (K2) for a film shoot, a sports competition or a festival performance, which belong under K4, or for a short transit that fits K6, can lead to refusal or to questions at the border.
